- installation unsigned SIS packages with any capability
- installation SIS packages with protected\unprotected UID
on UIQ3 smartphones.

Installation

- Download the archive from http://www.agathosyne.de/files_ext/sis-installer_mod.zip

Hi SWmail

I got a problem when using this mod on my m600i.After followed your step to put the installserver.exe in the c:\sys\bin ,then i can not open .sis files on my cellphone. The system got no react no matter i click any .sis file and back to normal after delete installserver.exe. Does there anything else i should know about installing? is there any soluthion to this problem?

firmware no.R9EC001.
language is chinese.
hacked by use your CapsSwitch 1.1.27
use SIS installer mod for Symbian 9.1

I tested this mod on m600i R9F011 GW1 and R9F011 GW2.
I promise you; use SWmail's M600i XS script and turn your phone GW1 or GW2 and update to R9F011.

Since i wanna use the flashplugin mod,i got your CapsSwitch ,installer and flashplugin mod.
The installserver.exe still not works with .sis on my m600i,however i finally made it by manual signed the flashplugin.

All your stuff are really great,keep it up and thank you very much.

Thank you for your help,before i give it a try,is there any guide for using XS script?
I notice this script is for SEUS,if i turn it to GW1 or GW2 and update to R9F011,is the chinese language works all right on R9EF001?

Sorry! There isnt a guide for it. I dont know any information about non-latin FEPS.

hi,
i don't want to sound dense, but how do copy the install file exe. onto the the phone, any chance of a step by step guide for numptys like me?.

1) Connect your phone to PC and change transfer mode to 'File transfer' (from 'Phone mode'). Now can you see on PC new disk (for example F:\). This is the Memory Stick.
1.1) As alternative you can insert the Memory Stick to CardReader on your PC.
2) Copy on PC the file to this "new" disk (to 'Media files' directory for example).
3) Disconnect the phone from the PC.
4) Now on smartphone copy the file with a file manager (x-plore or SwissManager) to needed directory (For example 'c:\sys\bin').

Hi SW; fantastic work. Your stuff unlocking the capabilities of UIQ3 is really appreciated!

I cannt get some stuff to work though; I keep getting the 'protected UID' message. I've copied InstallServer.exe to C:/sys/bin but it's still not happening. Is there anything else I need to do? If I try to run InstallServer from the phone (W960i) it just says it doesnt recognise .exe files?!
